Resource Description:

ERA has access to two private ranches in Central and Eastern Oregon. One of the ranches has a bunkhouse that sleeps 8 in beds and many more on sleeping pads on the floor during cold weather and outdoor in tents during warmer weather. Both ranches are rich in wildlife, interesting geology, and excellent fly fishing and bird/wildlife watching and photography.
ERA owns a stream table and dynamic groundwater model that it brings to school as part of its science of water program. ERA leads a wide variety of field trips including those that focus on the Missoula Floods in the Portland area, bird watching, Columbia Gorge hikes, cross-country ski trips and many trips to natural areas that utilize Portland's transit system and hiking. ERA is the Snow School for N.ORegon and SW Washington, affiliated with the Winter Wildlands Alliance, offering interdisciplinary educational/recreational programs on snowshoes primarily for elementary students.
