Education Programs at the Oregon Zoo
FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Day Camps
Adventures during summer, winter and spring school breaks take campers 4 years old through 8th grade on guided explorations of the zoo. Each day includes themed activities including up-close animal encounters, games, crafts, stories and songs.
ZooSnooze Overnights
This is your group’s chance to see the zoo in a whole new light - moonlight! It’s a fun and educational overnight experience for your group of 15-75 to see our animals under the cloak of darkness. Tour areas of the zoo not normally seen, meet some animals up close, and wake up to a light breakfast and more animal encounters. Family Camperoo is a special summer overnight for families to camp outside on a warm summer night.
Zoo Experiences
Preschoolers and their adult guests focus on an animal theme as they tour the zoo, learn at discovery stations and engage in a take-home craft.
Classes
Throughout the year a variety of programs allow children and adults to learn together. Discover the thrill of the rails during a train class, or feel the beat with a music experience. Visit our website to see current offerings.

FOR HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES
Homeschool groups can book any Zoo School or Zoo to You title. Community centers and libraries are great locations for your group to gather since we cannot visit private residences. Curricula and Chaperone Guides (available on our website) might also be helpful for developing your lessons.
